A retired CIA agent is haunted by both the agency he worked for and his own nightmares when suddenly he is visited by an unknown man after nearly three decades. During this time, Jeff Bridges was diagnosed and then treated for non-Hodgkin lymphoma.

After recovering, the series went back into production. Bridges referred to the return as a comeback after a “long weekend” on podcast in July 2022.
The Old Man is a spy thriller that is definitely worth watching!
Jeff Bridges is great as always and does an amazing job making you believe he’s still a jerk at 72! His dogs steal every scene they’re in and remind me of John Wick’s dogs.
Every other cast member is also at the top of their game here too, especially John Lithgow (who rarely disappoints)
I know there are a lot of really good spy series out there to choose from, but this one has everything you want in a spy thriller and is definitely a must watch. I’m looking forward to seeing more and I highly recommend it to anyone who is a fan of spy thrillers.
